It's just so disappointing. I love the author's other books but this was so painful I skipped huge chunks where I just paged through looking for something interesting. Total waste of money. It’s exactly what I needed during this time of the pandemic. A fun romance that makes you feel like you’re at Little Bridge Island for their first book festival. They were so disjointed and lacking in dimension. The main character, Jo, was a complete tosser. Just not a nice person at all. She was in her 30s and acted like a mean girl teenager. The book was written like the books in Cabot's Boy series, only not as well... more like an interns attempt at emulation. And... WHAT WAS UP WITH THAT ENDING???
